Nexier School Service Specific Terms
Guardian first and current age
The source age band is eleven to seventeen, with younger ages rejected. Every learner needs an active same-tenant guardian link and scoped consent; below the actual jurisdiction's data-consent age the approved method must be genuinely verified. A learner's self-declared age does not open the account. Use age band and pseudonym rather than collecting DOB without need.
Card check is not tuition
The Oct20 decision authorizes a verification-only guardian card procedure, not a child purchase or paid enrolment. Use a School-only restricted SetupIntent path and webhook; do not reuse University checkout. A card check must be assessed as evidence of guardian authority, not assumed to prove legal guardianship by itself. The signed-form fallback needs a real authorized intake/checker.
Safeguarding and human decisions
Do not accept the inference that online delivery plus guardian consent eliminates every safeguarding duty. Evaluate actual country/age/AI use and assign effective human escalation and teacher authority appropriate to law. Never-Do prompts and model reply guards are controls, not a legal substitute for accountable incident handling or final grade/term decisions.
Platform-specific terms
Education services
1. Public catalogues, previews and free resources are provided under the public terms and do not create an enrolment contract.
2. Enrolment in a paid course is formed by accepting the enrolment terms and paying the tuition shown; it is subject to the statutory withdrawal right (C06) except where the learner expressly requests immediate access and acknowledges loss of the right.
3. Certificates issued by the platform state the issuing entity, the content covered and the assessment method. They are not accredited qualifications unless the certificate names the accrediting authority and reference.
4. For learners under 18, C19 applies.

Minors and guardians
1. The platform may be used by persons under 18 only where the specific service states so. In Spain, a person aged 14 or over may give their own consent to the processing of their personal data; for persons under 14, the holder of parental authority or guardianship must give consent and accept the terms. In the UK the corresponding age is 13.
2. The guardian's identity and capacity are verified before the minor's account is activated. The guardian may access, correct and delete the minor's data, and may close the account at any time.
3. Educators and other adults in contact with minors through the platform are vetted in accordance with the platform's safeguarding policy, and communications with minors are logged and may be reviewed. Recording of minors is permitted only with guardian consent.
4. Payment for a minor's service is made by the guardian; the minor's account cannot incur charges.
